Want to learn how to take stunning climbing photos of you, your friends, and the beautiful places you climb? This workshop will teach you how to safely plan and execute your shots in a fun and supportive environment.

We will cover: 🔹Developing a plan for your photoshoot 🔹Composition and lighting techniques 🔹Ensuring safety for both yourself and others 🔹Properly ascending and descending ropes for optimal shot angles
This class will not cover anchor making skills. It is recommended you take a basic anchor making course before or after this class. Anchor making skills are not a requirement but highly encouraged to get the most out of the course.
No fancy camera required to take the course. Any camera will do. DSLR, phone camera, point and shoot!
This class has six paid spots available and two additional spots reserved for scholarship recipients.
Climbing rental gear is included upon request.
Instructor Athe Torri Cervantes’ (they/them) love of mountains flows through their lineage. They grew up exploring their mother’s native land of the Ecuadorian Andes, and their father’s Italian Alps. Athe now lives in the Hudson Valley, working in photography, rock and ice climbing, and other mountain endeavors. They are dedicated to creating access to climbing and the outdoors for underrepresented communities. Athe has worked as a photographer, lighting and digital technician, and retoucher in NYC for 15 years, and holds a BFA in Photography from Ringling College of Art and Design
